About NANV
Welcome to NANV the Netherlands Alumni Network in Vietnam. NANV is the place for all Vietnamese people who have studied in the Netherlands to meet. The network was established to allow alumni to stay in touch with the Netherlands and to help develop their social and professional lives in Vietnam.
NANV was launched by Neso Vietnam in July 2006 with the active support of the Dutch Business Association of Vietnam (DBAV). Formally NANV is a sub-committee of the DBAV and is the out come of the cooperation between DBAV and Nuffic. Further support to the Network is received from the Netherlands Embassy in Hanoi and the Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City. Also Dutch universities are providing their support and use NANV as the channel to stay in touch with their alumni.
The focus of NANV will be on professional and social activities and events in order to have alumni gain real benefits from their connection to the network and the Netherlands. These benefits can be translated as: a fun evening with old friends from Holland but also as interesting lectures and regular contact with Dutch companies and organization operating in Vietnam. We aim at NANV to play an important role in strengthening the relationship between Vietnam and Dutch companies, universities or diplomatic representations.
Mission Statement
The NANV strives to provide the means and opportunities to its members and partner organizations to improve the communication by and with alumni. Its main aim is to empower alumni and to promote their social and professional interests, and thereby ultimately improve Vietnamese-Dutch relations.
Objectives
The NANV has the following concrete aims and objectives:
- Organize activities serving the social and professional interests of alumni.
- Allow alumni in Vietnam to establish, maintain and strengthen their contacts and bonds with their former host-institutions and with the Netherlands.
- Engage alumni in promoting the Vietnamese - Netherlands relationship in a positive and well informed way.
- Provide alumni the opportunities to work or take internships in DBAV member companies in Vietnam.
